Doko Fest is the Town of Blythewood's first bluegrass festival! This community music festival is sponsored by the Lion's Club and the Town of Blythewood. Bring your lawn chairs, and spend time with the family at the beautiful 25-acre Doko Meadows Park. Enjoy live bluegrass music, food, vendor booths, bluegrass jam sessions and more.
Grab some BBQ, boiled peanuts, ice cream, hamburgers and hot dogs, and visit the Scottie's Cafe and Grill booth. Take a walk on the paved walking trails at the park, or have fun with the kids at the park playground. If you play an instrument, come on out and pick and grin with many of the bluegrass jam sessions that will be popping up around the park all day.
Live music will be at the park amphitheater from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature South Carolina bluegrass bands Steam Drill, Cottonwood, Flatland Express and Last Road.
Hours:
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Doko Meadows Park, 100 Alvina Hagood Circle, Blythewood.
Parking and admission are free. Bring your lawn chairs.
