Help record the history of the Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Company. The Bleachery was in operation from 1929 until it closed in 1998. It was one of the nation’s largest textile-finishing plants at its peak. Culture & Heritage Museums’ staff is interested in documenting objects, photos and other memorabilia in order to commemorate the history of the plant.
If you have any old photos, news articles, memos, newsletters, advertisements, fabric samples or objects that relate to the Bleachery, please bring them by for CHM’s historian Michael Scoggins and archivist Nancy Sambets to review and document at the Family Trust Federal Credit Union on West White Street, Wednesday, March 23, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
