Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller “Dial M for Murder” brings a murderous plot twist to The Footlight Players in downtown Charleston. Performances are 8 p.m. March 9, 10, 16, 22-24, with matinees at 3 p.m. March 11, 18 and 25.
Tennis pro Tony Wendice has married his wife, Margot, for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. He arranges the perfect murder. He blackmails a crook he used to know into strangling her for a fee and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself.
Unfortunately, the murderer gets murdered and the victim survives. Tony sees his hireling’s death as an opportunity to have his wife convicted for the murder of the man who tried to murder her, and that is what almost happens. This exciting thriller will leave audiences wondering whodunit.
Please note: there is no show on March 17. Tickets are $30 for adults, $27 for military/seniors and $20 for students. Order tickets online at footlightplayers.net or by calling the box office at (843) 722-4487.
