Daffodil Festival
to
Moore Farms Botanical Garden 100 New Zion Rd., Alligator Lake, South Carolina 29560
The fifth annual Daffodil Festival will be held on Saturday, April 2, at Moore Farms Botanical Garden from 4 to 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Junior Sorosis Club of Lake City, this annual event benefits many local charities and organizations in and around Lake City. Moore Farms has graciously offered its garden for our spring event. The horticulturalists at Moore Farms Botanical Garden work diligently to ensure blooming daffodils during our festival. The garden is ablaze with flowers, shrubs and trees of many varieties, both exotic and familiar. Many changes have occurred during this year at the garden. Garden relocations, renovations, addition of hundreds of plants, enlargement of the pond, and the creation of another bog all lend to the feeling of an exciting first visit.
The main lawn with its vibrancy of color will come alive with the fabulous music of the band, Hercules Farm, a group organized by Roger Kirby of Lake City and Paul Soloman of Pawleys Island. Hors d'oeuvres, wine and other beverages, and ample seating on the lawn will be provided. An afternoon of true Southern hospitality and an abundance of gratitude from the Junior Sorosis Club will be extended to all guests for their attendance and donations as the Junior Sorosis Club strives to make life better for those needing assistance.
