Since 1986, CODA has been the only organization meeting the spectrum of needs of child and adult survivors of domestic violence in Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper counties in South Carolina. Over 11,600 survivors have received assistance through our 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, case management, transitional housing, and legal services. CODA also reaches thousands of people annually through our community education programs.
CODA has grown to offer a broad array of free services including: emergency safe shelter, individual and group counseling for adults and children, case management, a children’s program, transitional housing, legal services, and educational programs aimed at informing community members about CODA’s services and engaging them to help prevent domestic violence. CODA is the only organization that provides these critical services in an area of over 2,800 square miles.
CODA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, governed by a volunteer board of directors. CODA’s staff is comprised of committed professionals who are South Carolina certified Victim Service Providers.
