Battle of Camden BBQ Festival
to
Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site 222 Broad Street, Camden, South Carolina 29020
The Battle of Camden BBQ Festival is hosted by the Camden Jaycees, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of the most disadvantaged citizens in Kershaw County. Each Christmas season, the Camden Jaycees deliver toys and clothes to children and a Christmas meal to families in need. In December 2017, the Camden Jaycees delivered toys and clothes to over 270 children and meals to 198 families. All proceeds of the event will benefit the Camden Jaycees' Annual Stocking Fund.
This year's installment will be even bigger and better than the over 1,700 event attendees we welcomed to Camden for our inaugural year. The Battle of Camden presents some of the finest barbecue competitors from the Southeast in this South Carolina Barbecue-affiliated event. Friday night will feature a wing competition with judging by First Responders. There will also be a mac 'n' cheese competition featuring local restaurants and vendors with the winner decided by the general public and carrying home the Golden Noodle trophy! Barbecue tastings will be served hot off the smokers Saturday morning beginning at 10:30 a.m. The event will feature live music on Friday night by Landslide and on Saturday by Josh McCaa, children's activities, and tasty beverages. This will be a family friendly event both adults and kids will enjoy!
Admission to the event is free. Sampling tickets are available for the wings, mac 'n' cheese, and barbecue while it lasts. $1 per sampling ticket; $10 for 12 sampling tickets!
