Murrells Inlet 2020 proudly presents “A Lowcountry Evening at Sunnyside” on Saturday, November 14, 2014 at historic Sunnyside Plantation in Murrells Inlet. Soak in a tranquil natural Southern setting with its century-old cedars and majestic live oaks draped in Spanish Moss. Step back in time as you tour the old Sunnyside home built circa 1850 by planter Jacob Motte Alston. The one-and-a-half story Greek revival style house, which is constructed of heart pine with beaded cypress weatherboards, an oval mahogany flying staircase, and large columns on the front, will be open for viewing.
A delicious selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres and a fabulous variety of desserts will be available for tasting. We will have an open bar and offer an assortment of fine wines and traditional cocktails. “Band on Fire” will be our entertainment with plenty of dancing! The silent auction will feature an exciting array of local artwork, trips, catered parties and much more. Attire is Lowcountry Casual. The event is rain or shine. Guests can purchase tickets at a reduced rate of $100 per person through October 31, 2014. After October 31, 2014, tickets will cost $125 per person. You may also become a “Friend of the Inlet” for $300 which includes 2 tickets and your name listed in the program. Proceeds benefit Murrells Inlet 2020, a 501c3 community revitalization organization dedicated to making the Inlet a nice place to live, work and visit. Call 843-357-2007 to purchase tickets.
