A Dickens Holiday

Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County 301 Hay Street, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28301
Historic downtown Fayetteville is again transformed into a Victorian-era experience, so roll back the clock for A Dickens Holiday. Horse-drawn carriages ride down Hay Street, children pose with Father Christmas for pictures, the smells of cider and gingerbread permeate the chilly air, and there is Ebenezer Scrooge himself, pursued by the ghost of Jacob Marley.
As darkness approaches and the clock reaches 5 p.m., townspeople gather for the candlelight procession to the Market House, followed by fireworks. Afterward, the festivities continue on the streets and inside the Arts Council building, at "Annie's Alehouse." More information may be found on the event website.
