4-H2O Camp
Lee State Park 487 Loop Road, Bishopville, South Carolina 29010
Bulls Bay community, federal, state, and local agencies, organizations, schools, and businesses come together once again to present the fourth annual Bulls Bay Nature Festival. At this camp, we will learn how to test abiotic and biotic factors of water quality, such as water clarity and aquatic macroinvertebrates, using the same tools scientists use. Campers will also spend time learning about pollution and watersheds using an Enviroscape. We’ll go on nature hikes and a wetland stroll down Lee State Park’s boardwalk to learn what wetlands are and why they are important. We’ll also get to make a few eco-crafts to take home as souvenirs.
For ages 9-13. Meets 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Fee is $25; registration and payment due to Lee County Clemson Extension before start of camp. Space is limited to 15 campers.
If your child has special needs, allergies, or other considerations, please contact the 4-H agent before camp starts, so we are aware and prepared.
